Step 2 - Planning the Case
We determine exactly how many implants your arch needs and the precise angle for each, based on your bone density and bite.
Step 3 - Placing the Implants
Most patients skip bone grafting entirely, implants are angled to anchor securely in the bone you already have. That's also often what makes same-day teeth possible.
Step 4 - Healing Time
The implants need to fuse to the bone through osseointegration before the final restoration goes on, typically a few months.
Step 5 - Final Restoration
Your permanent, fixed full-arch prosthetic is placed once healing is complete.

SEDATIONSEDATION FOR FULL-ARCH SURGERY
IV sedation is the standard option for All-on-X cases, given the length and scope of full-arch surgery. It's administered so Dr. Fritsch can precisely manage your comfort throughout, and most patients describe the experience as closing their eyes and waking up with the work done. Lighter options are available for parts of your treatment plan where they make sense, ask about what fits your case at your consultation.
Nitrous Oxide
The lightest option. You stay fully awake but deeply relaxed, and effects wear off within minutes - you can even drive yourself home. Good for mild anxiety or shorter procedures.
Oral Conscious Sedation
A prescribed medication taken before your appointment. You're conscious and can respond to instructions, but most patients recall little afterward. You'll need a driver.
IV Sedation
The deepest option, and the standard for All-on-X and full-arch cases. Administered through an IV so Dr. Fritsch can precisely control your comfort throughout.
