IV sedation is the deepest level of sedation we offer and is the preferred option for our All-on-X patients and anyone undergoing extensive dental work. With IV sedation you enter a sleep-like state — deeply relaxed and completely unaware of what is happening around you. You are not fully unconscious the way you would be under general anesthesia, but you will have little to no memory of the procedure. Most patients feel as though they simply closed their eyes and woke up with their dental work complete.
IV sedation is the gold standard for:
All-on-X and full arch implant procedures
Full mouth reconstructions
Multiple extractions in a single appointment
